Trustees and Staff

Rōpata is of Ngāti Rārua and Te Ātiawa descent. He is Chair of the Whakarewa Trust Board, member of the Kōmiti for Commercial, Audit & Risk, Remuneration and Te Whanake. He is a trustee of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua Iwi Trust, Te Āwhina Marae Land Trust, Tasman Heritage Trust, Te Here-a-Nuku Trust and the Charter Schools Authority. Rōpata is a recognised cultural advisor at regional, national and international levels. He has experience and skill in education, conservation, tourism, urban planning, design, branding, primary industries, economic development and global trade.
